This view of the Golden Gate Bridge is from the Marin County side which is where Stephanie was raised. We met in Mill Valley in 1972 and had our first date in January 1973 when my date cancelled at the last minute. We parked on this hill over looking the bridge and sat on a blanket in the grass. We stayed up all night talking and watching the traffic go back and forth. At the same time we polished off a bottle of Almaden Burgundy while eating sour dough bread, Italian salami and cheddar cheese. At dawn we watched the Sun come up over the San Francisco Bay from Mt. Tamalpais. We had been friends for about a year but after that glorious night I knew I was in love with Stephanie and wanted to spend every night with her for the rest of my life.

My father, Ron Dopp who has just finished treatment for prostate cancer.

My father has now completed all 40 radiation treatments for prostate cancer and has joined us in Lake Havasu City, Arizona where he rents a condo. He is feeling better every day and the prognosis is excellent. I thank all of you who have kept him in your prayers. They made a difference.

They're cheap but look expensive. I get the one that has the lighted dial when you push the button in and I use it as a night light. It keeps perfect time and every few years you have to replace the battery or watch band.
